1 March 2004 Fields and Towers continues to consolidate telecoms infrastructure management market Fields and Towers (F&T), chartered surveyors and as part of F&T Group is the UK’s largest independent owner and manager of telecommunications income assets, has been appointed by Commpro Properties Limited (CPL), Smart Sites UK Limited and Smart Sites Facilities Management Limited to manage all their telecoms infrastructure interests in the UK. F&T Group, and its investors Penta Capital, owns over 500 telecom infrastructure assets and manages letting agreements worth in excess of £6 million per annum. The Group acquires and manages radio sites - rooftop or greenfield masts and ground rents for site providers including a number of major corporate property owners, utility companies, universities and landed estates. F&T managing director Peter Walden said, “We were pleased that our specialist knowledge and position in the UK telecoms market allowed F&T to secure these instructions. These telecoms income assets are spread throughout the UK and will benefit from F&T’s coverage and market presence.” CPL managing director Chris Mills said, “F&T offer a unique service in the UK and having them on board to manage these assets means we can concentrate on our core business of acquiring, design and constructing sites for mobile operators.”
