The company (formerly called Cellstructures) acquires, manages and operates wireless cell sites (rooftop or greenfield masts or towers) for wireless service providers. In addition, the company manages a number of land estates from a telecom perspective on behalf of utility and other property owners, providing access to over 25,000 suitable sites for development and a rapidly growing rental stream for its client landowners.

F&T is now established as the largest UK independent owner/manager of mobile cell sites. It owns over 500 tower sites with strong collocation by mobile operators, providing a growing rental income and high return on capital and cash flow. On the managed services side, it currently manages over 2,000 ground leases with operators and enables landowners to maximise the return on their assets, whilst simultaneously reducing capex for mobile operators.

Penta invested in F&T in February 2001 to assist with the expansion of the business.
