Omniport was established in 2001 and successfully managed Glasgow Prestwick Airport prior to disposing of its investment in 2003.

Omniport has majority shareholdings in Norwich International Airport and Maastricht Aachen Airport, acquired through the privatisation of these airports. Both airports offer significant scope for expansion and form a platform for the development of the group.

Penta Capital led a £12m institutional funding round with Caledonia Investments in May and August 2004 to support an acquisition strategy.
