David Calder

David is a founding Partner of Penta and was previously an Investment Executive within the private equity team at the Royal Bank of Scotland until 1999. David is a Chartered Accountant and worked with Coopers & Lybrand in Edinburgh and Toronto after graduating from the University of Edinburgh.

Paul Cassidy

Paul joined Penta in July 2000 and was appointed as the firm’s Finance Partner in February 2002. He joined the firm from Glasgow based investment manager, Murray Johnstone Limited where he was Accounting Manager responsible for the preparation of the Group's financial and management reporting information. Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Stoy Hayward after graduating from the University of Glasgow.

Torquil Macnaughton

Torquil is a founding Partner of Penta and had previously been an Investment Executive with the private equity team at The Royal Bank of Scotland. Torquil qualified as a corporate lawyer after obtaining degrees from the Universities of St Andrews and Aberdeen.

Mark is a founding Partner of Penta and had previously been an Investment Executive with the private equity team at The Royal Bank of Scotland. Mark holds an honours degree in Economics and Law from the University of Strathclyde as well as an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.

Steven is a founding Partner of Penta. He was formally a Director in the private equity division of The Royal Bank of Scotland. As well as transacting his focus is on fundraising and investor relations. Steven is a Chartered Accountant having trained with Arthur Andersen after graduating from the University of Glasgow.
